Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's the difference between screen printing and embroidery?

Screen printing uses ink pushed through a mesh screen to create designs on fabric, resulting in a smooth, flat finish. Embroidery uses thread stitched directly into the fabric, creating a raised, textured design. Screen printing is ideal for large, colorful designs and bulk orders, while embroidery offers a more subtle look perfect for logos and small text.

    What products can you customize?

We work with a wide variety of items including: T-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, sweatpants, hats, bags, jackets, socks, uniforms, and promotional items. If you have an item that you don’t see listed here, please contact us directly.

Do you provide the garments or do I need to bring my own?

We stock a wide selection of quality blank items in various styles, colors, and sizes. You can also provide your own items, but there may be an upcharge to do so. Please contact us directly for more details.

  • What file formats do you accept for artwork?

We prefer vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) for the best quality results. We also accept high-resolution raster files (PNG, JPEG, PSD) at 300 DPI minimum. The same goes for embroidery, we can work with most file types but we will need to digitize your design to be stitched.

Can you help create or modify my design?

Yes, we offer design services including logo creation, artwork cleanup, and design modifications. We can often recreate or enhance low-quality images, retrace logos and improve image quality. Our team can help bring your vision to life or optimize existing artwork for the best printing results. Additional design fees may apply.

What if I only have a low-quality logo or image?

We can often recreate or enhance low-quality images. We can retrace logos and improve image quality, though additional design fees may apply depending on the complexity.

  • What are your minimums?

Our screen printing minimum order is 48 units per design. Screen printing becomes more cost-effective with larger quantities due to setup costs. Our embroidery minimum is 36 pieces.

How many colors can you screen print?

We can print up to 6 colors in a single design, though most designs use 1-4 colors. Each color requires a separate screen which affects pricing.  If you are interested in achieving a wider range of color, we can mix halftones using an advanced method called simulated process printing.  We can only use this method of printing on certain designs with shading and high amounts of color.

What types of ink do you use?

We use high-quality plastisol inks, which are durable and vibrant. We also offer specialty inks like metallic, glow-in-the-dark, and puff.

Can you print on dark-colored shirts?

Yes, we can print on any color garment. For dark shirts, we typically use an underbase (white ink layer) to make colors pop, or we can use specialty inks designed for dark fabrics.

  • What's the minimum order for embroidery?

Embroidery minimum is 36 pieces, making it perfect for small orders or samples.

What's the largest design you can embroider?

Our standard embroidery area is up to 4" x 4" for most garments. Larger designs up to 9" x 12" are possible on certain items like the back of jackets or bags.

Can you embroider on any fabric?

We can embroider on most fabrics, but some work better than others. Cotton, cotton blends, and performance fabrics work well. Very stretchy, thin, or delicate fabrics may present challenges.

    What thread colors are available?

We stock hundreds of thread colors and can match most Pantone colors. We use high-quality polyester and rayon threads that are colorfast and durable.

  • How is pricing determined?

Pricing depends on several factors including quantity, number of colors/stitches, garment type, and complexity of the design. Screen printing costs decrease with larger quantities, while embroidery pricing is more consistent across the board.

    Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes, both screen printing and embroidery offer better unit pricing as quantities increase. Contact us for pricing on large orders.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

    Do you require payment upfront?

We require full payment upfront for all orders.

  • What's your typical turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is 10-15 business days from payment and artwork approval. Rush orders can often be accommodated for an additional fee, with some orders completed in 3-5 days.

    When does production start?

Production begins once we have final artwork approval, payment (or deposit), and all garments are in stock. Any delays in artwork approval or payment will affect your delivery date.

    Can you rush my order?

Yes, we offer rush service for urgent orders. Rush fees vary depending on the timeline needed and our current production schedule.

  • How long will the printing/embroidery last?

With proper care, screen printed designs should last the life of the garment. Embroidered designs are extremely durable and can last even longer.

How should I care for customized garments?

Turn garments inside out before washing, use cold water, and avoid bleach. For screen printed items, avoid high heat in the dryer. Embroidered items are generally more durable and can handle normal washing and drying. Also review the care instructions on your item for more specific guidance.

What if I'm not satisfied with my order?

Customer satisfaction is our priority. Please inspect your order upon receiving and contact us immediately with concerns.

  • How do I place an order?

Contact us with your project details including quantity, garment preferences, and design requirements. We'll provide a quote and timeline. Once approved, we'll prepare your artwork and begin production.

Can I see a sample before production?

We do not offer physical samples. Digital mockups are available for all orders to show how your design will look. We do stock blanks in our studio and are happy to review them with you! Please reach out directly to schedule an appointment.

    Do you ship?

Yes, we can ship your order to you. Additional fees will apply.
